The Farm Animal Sanctuary
I’m starting this month’s blog with the terrible news that The Farm Animal Sanctuary had their All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) stolen. It’s a crucial piece of equipment helping them to move animals, feed, equipment around the farm. One of their supporters has set up a Go Fund Me to help buy a replacement. If you can make a donation however small please do help.
Next month they are holding a Spring Open Weekend on 26-27 April– details about tickets are available on their website or Facebook page. I will be there on the Sunday with a stall selling handmade items to help raise funds for the Sanctuary.
Link to Hope
The theme on the Link to Hope Calendar for March is Craft Gifts – with the suggestions of – Handmade headbands, pencil and glass cases, lavender bags, craft kits, puppets and sewing kits.
Rather than repeat my previous suggestions from the last few years please take a look at my blogs from previous years.
Bargain Buys
I bought a variety of items reduced in Poundland – a 20 metre washing line, baseball hat, 4 in 1 pedicure/foot brush. Also in Poundland but not reduced – 6 pack of HB pencils for 30p, A4 Drawing pad 30p, 18 felt pens 75p, 6 small rolls of Sellotape £1.00, paint palette 75p.

B&M had some of their winter items reduced – 3 pack of thick gripper gloves £2.00, 3 pack of men’s insulated beanie hats reduced to £3.00 and a pack of 2 pairs of men’s insulated gloves £2.50 – not quite my normal bargain price but they are very thick and genuinely large. I bought quite a few packs of insulated hats and gloves😊. My local stores didn’t have much in the way of reduced children’s items and just had one pack of 2 pairs of children’s hero gloves for £1.50.

Till next month
