I’ve managed to fill a Family Shoebox for under £10.00 – could I do the same for an Elderly Shoebox?  I’m pleased to say yes you can!  It is getting tougher, but is possible, and if you use some of the suggestions in the fill a shoebox for free article, you should be able to pack a shoebox full of great gifts. The following shoeboxes don’t include any free items.

The first Shoebox is filled with bargains picked up over the year, to show if you start early you can get more for your money. I start out with the minimum requirements based on the Link to Hope leaflet and show the total for the minimum requirements, i.e. the 6 essential items and 5 additional items.

As this is under £10.00 it gives scope to add extra items.

The second box is packed with items available in September, October – but Temu prices fluctuate.  Once again, I’ve included Aldi’s 3 in 1 body, face and hair wash, which can be used as shampoo, and amazingly is cheaper than last year – it’s now 49p 😊.

That leaves just under £3.00 for some extra items to make the box special

The full box for under £10.00.

If you use any of the ideas on the fill a Shoebox for free article https://bramleybuttons.co.uk/shoebox-challenge-2025 you could consider adding even more items or use the savings to purchase something extra special.

Have fun filling your Shoeboxes and I’m sure the recipients will be pleased with your gifts.
